Hags Hit Motown – December 23, 2005

December 23 – 2005, we had a Death Hag get-together in Detroit – when I went homo for the holidays.  Four lovely ladies braved the brutal Midwestern weather, to meet with me at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, where we spent a brilliant morning/afternoon – just poking around the cool stuff on display.  We ogled Edison’s last breath,

we saw Rosa Parks’ bus, the Lincoln assassination chair – and his creepy animatronic head from Disney

as well as one of the original cars from the Peter Pan ride.

Really good fun, but the best part was of course the JFK limo.  THE limo (which was still in use until Carter – with added roof). First they have this etching crayony thingy there,

which we did and signed.

After posing for a group picture in front of the beast – making sure we got all our obligatory pictures out of the way – so in case we got kicked out – we’d be all set – the girls got to work.  I’ll be honest, I was scared shitless – and my lovely new friends were surprised by that.  I can’t explain it.  Detroit?  Authority figures?  Scary President?  I don’t know. But we did manage to put our temporary mark.

So there you are.  Line, crossed.

Thanks so much to Mary, Denise, Darlene and Karen for making my trip home a blast.  I loved meeting you guys.  Sorry it took so long to get these up.
