The Wonderland Murders

Inside the Wonderland Murder House Crime Scene

A couple of years ago I was given access to the house on Wonderland Drive where the infamous murders involving porn star John Holmes took place in 1981.

Weirdly, when the Val Kilmer movie Wonderland came out on DVD, the extra features included with the film included the actual footage from the crime scene, with the victims still in it.

It seems that this case is one of the first that documented a crime scene by video. And there it was, for your entertainment, as an extra feature.

I invited my pal Mike Dorsey to come with me.  Camera in hand he shot and edited our trek into the actual crime scene footage.

Here it is:  Inside the Wonderland Murder House.

Think about it. This was 1981 and the 70s were not over for some people. It was scum drug dealers and they were dirt. What landlord rents to drug dealers without asking questions? In the scott video they remodeled it (were those glass doors there originally)

Perhaps oj simpson took a cue from John holmes and didn’t testufy!!!

Was at one point the home painted Yellow?

This also reflects oj simpson. In ojs case how did there be no blood in certian areas….and I guess that oj simpson and the wonderland murderers cleaned up pretty good

At wonderland I guess while the beatings were going on the murderers ransacked the house and took whatever they could find and didn’t leave a mess….where are their bloody clothes

Awful, gruesome murders, payback for ripping off gangster and drug dealer Eddie Nash.
If you watch the the crime scene video, you can see how brutal these murders were.
The cops knew Eddie Nash was responsible, but they had no actual evidence to prove it.
There was speculation that John Holmes was there, and at least witnessed the carnage even if he didn’t actively take part.
But he kept his mouth shut.
He hated everyone in that house and was not interested in seeing justice done.
Fascinating story about the underbelly of L.A.
Wonderland is actually worth seeing. Val Kilmer and Kate Bosworth are pretty good in this movie, as well as Lisa Kudrow.
Included with the DVD set is a documentary entitled Wadd, which tells the story of John Holme’s life and death.
If you are a true Death Hag, you must own Wonderland on DVD.
