EVERYONE is anxiously awaiting the new Harry Potter movie, due out this November. I did a little research about it when my sister was visiting recently. My niece Kristen (hey boog!) and my sister got me in to it. I don’t read them, mind you, I listen to the books on tape. Here are some of the locations used in the upcoming film:
This is the platform at Kings Cross, where the train to Hogwarts departs. Platform 9 3/4. I don’t know if they will actually use this platform, but this is the real deal.
This is Australia House, located just off The Strand, in London. Supposedly this is the location for Gringotts, the wizard’s bank.
We also went to the London Zoo. This is the reptile house where, in the film, Harry learns that he is Parcel Tongue. I think that’s how its spelled. Anyway, he can speak to snakes.
Half of the exhibits in the zoo were closed due to the disease sweeping Britain at the moment. No giraffes, elephants etc. All being protected.
