I remember bumping into him as he was leaving the WTC NYC in 2000.
He smiled and said hello to me.
“The Family ” is the best book out and tells the truth. Tom O’Neal IS the key to the truth of the murders. ALSO “**Ultra ” and the O.S.S. ( now C.I.A.) is …..well let’s just say…
Lunatic.
Read Tom O’Neil’s book, “Chaos”. Bugliosi was a paranoid liar who physically assaulted women, was aware Terry Melcher committed perjury and was fine with it and made up the whole Helter Skelter theory.
So, you’re telling me he’s a Hollywood prosecuting attorney.
I haven’t read “Chaos”, but I did watch “Charles Manson: The Final Word”, a documentary on YouTube. Left a comment alleging that the documentary would not exist if The Bug were still among the living. That goes double for O’Neill’s book.
The only issue I have with Mr. Bugliosi is that he said that circumstantial evidence is good evidence.
Most trials involve nothing but circumstantial evidence. Juries are given instructions expressly telling them that circumstantial evidence can carry as much weight as direct evidence. Most cases don’t involve direct evidence—an eyewitness saying that he heard, saw, felt or smelled something. Everything else—DNA, fingerprints, trace evidence, etc., is circumstantial evidence.
You are probably not aware that almost all criminal cases are based on circumstantial evidence. Direct evidence is by eye/earwitnesses who saw or heard what happened. And in the Manson case they had many witnesses who testified about what they saw Manson and the others do or said.
AND…he wrote THEE BEST book ever on the Kennedy assassination titled “Reclaiming History”. Vince was a man who had NO agenda and probably the best person that could’ve tackled that case. He went by PURE evidence and completely debunked all those bullshit conspiracy theories and trust me, when you finish his book, you will KNOW, without a DOUBT, that Lee Harvey Oswald was Kennedy’s assassin. RIP Vince
You my want to rethink your position on this after reading Tom O’Neil’s book (Chaos) Like Polanski, Bugliosi was a complete creep! Whether you believe the book. Which I do. It’s pretty clear the narrative he fed was seriously flawed!
I personally know one of the people convicted for one of the Manson murders. Any claim that it was some CIA experiment is complete and utter b.s.
I am remembering the innocent victims on this 52nd anniversary.
The balls are on the headstone because Mr. Bugliosi was an avid tennis player. A former tennis partner or opponent may have left them.
