A couple of weeks ago, Christopher Walken was honored in Hollywood, with a footprints ceremony at the most excellent Grauman’s Chinese Theater. It was a fascinating process to witness. For a few weeks beforehand, there was a temporary cover
placed over the actual location of the square.
Then the ceremony took place.
After, Mr. Walken was escorted to a private reception (with Q. Tarentino), and my heroes went to work. These guys take such amazing care of the squares, and to watch this process was fascinating.
A fence was installed around the square, and the guys went to work, making more aesthetically pleasing, for decades to come. The smoothed over the entire thing, and worked on the individual letters.
Poor Natalie, all by herself. But she watched the whole thing…
